Sproule Webinar Series
Energy Transition in Latin America

The global energy market is evolving. Energy transition provides a unique opportunity to capitalize on renewable energy sources and prioritize decarbonization. Sproule is launching a two-part energy transition webinar series focused on Latin America: Part One will cover opportunities in CO2 storage and Part Two will speak on opportunities of energy generation through geothermal in the region.

Part 2

Geothermal Opportunities in Latin America

June 1st, 2023

12:00 to 1:00 pm (GMT-3)

(Q&A session included)

English / Spanish

(simultaneous translation available)

Geothermal energy production is a key potential growth opportunity in Latin America and the Caribbean; several sites are already in operation, and over a dozen projects already announced. It is efficient, provides a 24-7 baseload renewable power generation and reduces the emission of greenhouse gases. This reliable energy source offers opportunity for competitive heat and power generation, while reducing the overall cost of electricity. The largely untapped geothermal market in Latin America faces challenges such as high initial investments and industry expertise from drilling to operations.

During the second part of Sproule’s “Energy Transition in Latin America,” Floris Veeger will share his expertise on realization to management of geothermal operations. He will review production support, well interventions and workovers, project management and strategic and engineering advice within the geothermal industry.
